Canine Influenza Outbreak!

Scrappy (pictured above) is one of the many dogs in Chicago affected by the recent outbreak of canine influenza. Just a few weeks after first being rescued by Found Chicago, poor  Scrappy came down with flu-like symptoms that quickly escalated into pneumonia. We need your help! All but two of  Found Chicago's rescue dogs have gotten sick with flu-like symptoms. It is taking around-the-clock care from our staff and the veterinarians at Heal Veterinary Clinic to keep Scrappy, and the rest of the dogs at Found, on the path to recovery.

Please donate to help save Scrappy and the rest of the rescue pups here at Found Chicago!

Recent Success Stories!

Found Chicago's mission is to rescue dogs in the city of Chicago who may be at higher risk of being deemed un-adoptable for medical or behavioral reasons.  Our goal is to rehabilitate them through our behavioral training programs here at Found Chicago, or through the veterinary expertise of our campus.

We have been lucky enough to save many dogs lives over the years with the help of some very loving and understanding adopters! Check out our recent success stories and these dogs "happily ever after's"!

The Dogs We Rescue:

Keela was found abandoned in a warehouse, very malnourished, and in need of immediate medical attention.  It was obvious it had been a while since Keela's last true meal and sadly she had evidence of abuse on her body.

After a few days spent regaining her strength and appetite, we were able to get to know her. Despite all she has been through, Keela is as sweet as can be! Always wagging her tail and excited to see any human friends, giving out free kisses and cuddles! It seems Keela has been under socialized with other dogs and is a little unsure of herself. She also did not seem to know what to do with a big comfy bed, as she preferred the hard ground for a week or so. Keela, now safe and healthy, is ready to begin her journey through rehabilitation!

Help us to rescue more dogs like Keela!
